I thought I'd share some background.
Last year I was trying to rewrite the quiz-making functionality, but I got frustrated with how messy the code is that runs the site. I decided to rewrite a whole bunch of it to clean up the mess and make things work better. At the same time, I wanted to get off old versions of Apache, PHP and MySQL. I'm proud to say we're now running on Apache 2.4, PHP 7, and MySQL 5.7.
Now that the switch has been made to the new stuff, it will be easier for me to add new features. The code behind the scenes is more logical, condensed, and organized properly. The debugging is more useful. I hope to be able to make some good enhancements in the second half of the year.
Of course making major changes like this is bound to cause new bugs, so please report them as you find them over on the Feedback Forum. -
