I haven't been gone very long
But it feels like a lifetime

I'm still really trying to carve out an unique art style for myself. I'm a huge fan of subdued and low saturation art but whenever I make anything it ends up super saturated. I am definitely a huge fan of color theory in my art. I am really enjoying using oil painting methods for my digital art but I still just feel like I could be adding so much more character and depth to them. I'd like to continue to work towards multiple exposure pieces. Things like polaroids. Just any art that makes you feel something.

I am really enjoying portraits as a muse as of late though. I should really practice more background and abstract art though.

I drew my friends over the weekend to try and make them smile -
my submission for an art competition -

I wanted to show the art vs the reference. I've had less motivation to draw lately because I got accused of doctoring my art and using apps to create them.
I did technically use an app to create this piece. I used art breeder to create my reference and ibis for the art itself. -
Oh shoot I posted the art with the messed up septum. Oh well lol.
Anyways that's my process right now. I'm really inspired by the work of Basia. I'm trying to create more unique depth in my art and get better at building up color. -
Your work is gorgeous, and I hope that you'll be able to shake off that comment. Digital art is still art, regardless of what steps it takes to create it.
I really admire the brush strokes in your pieces!
