Whether you photoshop or do traditional or digital media or painting?
Like, I used to draw 24/7 but ever since I graduated I haven’t done anything. I tried replicating a drawing I made a year ago and posted on here and I couldn’t even figure out how to do the formula to divide the canvas equally/ my proportions were trash
D: I guess what I’m trying to say is the idea of art makes me sad and uninspired regardless of media.
How do you keep drawing? I’m looking @ u @br0wnie and @ anime Phan who have been drawing for YEARS.
:( anyone else who’s been drawing for years pls reply too.( I know there are others who have been drawing for years on here too but those two are the first that came to my head) -
And sorry if I referred to you w ur 2012/ 2013 names my brain is still stuck on those years and I can’t keep track of your current names

Try drawing in different art styles! There are lots of artists that inspire me, and I wasn't quite satisfied with how my style looked, so i imitated theirs and tried out different things until I found something that I liked and incorporated it into my style!
Once you find a style you enjoy, drawing will come a lot easier!
And if you're dissatisfied with your level, the key to improvement is to try and draw everyday, even if somedays it's just a doodle. You're always going to be learning new things ifyou practice and build up experience
If you're looking for more specific inspirations, try:
▪Designing a character based on a song! If you wanna be extra, challenge yourself to listen to that song on repeat while drawing said character
▪Art challenges (there are many on youtube, three marker challenge, teeny weeny challenge, one line challenge, to name a few!)
▪Art prompts (there are art prompt websites that give you a vague prompt and you have to draw based on that prompt)
▪Colors! (Look up color palettes and draw something based on a palette you like, even if the palette doesn't match up to the original character or background or whatever you're drawing)
▪Looks up differeny methods and techniques (like hatching, pointillism, etc)
▪Do study drawings (face planes, anatomy, cartoonic vs realistic, shading, etc)
▪Set a timer (practice art studiously, set a time for it everyday if you can. If you're feeling adventurous, try doing timed drawings where you try to draw an image under 1 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, whatever)
▪Watch long art videos and draw along while you watch (drawwiffwaffles and dina norlund are good examples)
That's all I got for now, but if I think of more I'll tell you -
woke up from the Lounge fourm. How is everyone?
