  I want to start sketching, but I have no experience whatsoever. ^^ Do any of you have tips for a beginner? (sketching, colouring in, etc.)

  I don't understand what you're asking. Sketching is just.. sketching. A messy rough draft.

  I want to draw realistic looking people (i should have said drawing, not sketching. i'm sorry) But I get really stuck on the hair and eyes.

  I'm no expert, but I guess I can try and help-

  > use photos as reference.
  > if you're having trouble with the shape, I've heard grids can work for some people.
  > practice.
  >focus on where the shadows/light source are located, this can help to know where you need to apply your darkest and lightest colours/shades to.
  > practice.
  >tones. Having a wide range in tones/shades can help make it pop out or appear more realistic.
  > Don't worry about messing it up. Failure can help show where you went wrong, consider it a good thing. Go experiment.
  > study the object you're drawing.
  > try not to start out with really dark lines, they can be a pain to erase if you make mistakes, which isn't very fun.

  Okay, if you want to learn how to draw realistically, start with the basic shapes. The head is a slightly ovular shape, so draw it that way. :3 Then, you would make guide-lines down the middle horizontally and vertically.

  If you want to learn how to draw a full body realistically, use people that you know as models, or if you can't get them to model, you can use this site.
  
  
  
  Also, practice proportion and drawing different body/facial types. It will help :3
