Thread Topic: Work my Drawing teacher
-
Because I should keep count of the amount of times my drawings have not been good enough for competition or display according to his rubric
Or
Have been scored less than an 8 -
House one of 13
Collide with the sky house using a 4b pencil and a HB pencil
Only did this much but was told it wasn't what he was looking for the project I'm working on
It's about as big as the length from your shoulder to your middle finger, so it is a pretty big piece.
Will try to finish it as soon as the other house plans are done and approved or disapproved and all the f---ing art shows die off.
honestly this is a self reflection thread where I rip apart my drawings and see what I'm doing wrong. So basically I'm just thinking out loud and saving thoughts so that when I go re do or finish these I remember what to change. I won't show them to the teacher again because he already rejected them, but I will finish them anyway because unfinished sketches bother me, yee? And lol no I don't keep a diary or journal, I lose things easily. So no, I am not looking for attention seeking comments or whatever, I'm just doing this thread to see what I am doing wrong and what progress I've made/ mistakes.^~^ so yeah.
And I'm not bashing on the teacher either I know that he's grading me and the other two other kids in my class harsher than the rest because we want to be in Ap studio art next year and there's only 16 chairs open so like
I gEt wHeRe he's cOmInG fRoM
So yay, self improvement. -
My main problem with this piece
Light source
I can't tell if the source is the upper right hand corner
Or the middle
Assuming the source is the right
I would have to lighten the right top part of the house because it's the one that gets more light
And the bottom would be darker
And the left bottom side would be basically mostly all 4b pencil
At least that's what I think
Shadows
I am like 98% sure the house should cast a shadow on the left but I'm not sure how to do that
Sigh
Then I have to add more detail to the house
;-; how does one art I can't see the final result due to it not even being halfway done -
Ohohohoh
So I drew this other house from the Victorian era and it was blue and he was like pat pat well done and so now I'm only working on the pencil version of that house too and I'll be done with that project
