Thread Topic: Improvement
-
You may not feel like you're a good artist right now, or like what you've done so far hasn't helped at all, but trust me, you're making progress. You can't see it because your art style is growing along with you, but it's definitely getting better. And the best way to improve is by continuing to work. It'll take time, but it's worth it. Don't give up!
For example, I drew this about four years ago. I was incredibly proud of it. It was also one of the first drawings I shared with my aunt, who told me that it was terrible. I honestly had no desire to keep drawing.
But I did. And the other day, I found it again. I realized that an almost exact amount of years had passed, so I decided to redraw it. This is how it turned out. I'm so glad I didn't quit, because I mean... look where I am now!
You're all talented artists, even if you don't believe that yourself. You will improve. So keep drawing. Keep critiquing. Keep finding faults in your work, keep trying to change them. Improvement is constant, and your work can only get better from here.
