In terms of tablets, which ones do you guys have? Which ones would you recommend? And other than photoshop, what other programs would you recommend?
I'm also probably going to be asking tons of other questions later. Like, how to take a hand drawn picture and make it digital. Shading and coloring help. Stuff like that.
I probably won't be able to do digital art any time soon, but I'm hoping I can get a tablet around the holidays, so I'd appreciate any help from people that are experienced with it. -
I have a monoprice. It's p good and I've had it for 4 years.
I'd recommend a monoprice and one of those wacom bamboo tablets.
Other than photoshop, i'd say to get Paintool sai. It cost money but I have a crack ver I can send you. I also recommend fire alpaca(it's free) or Kirita(it's also free) -
Howdy
My reccomendation is a monoprice as well, it's cheap and works just as well as wacom's tablets.
I've never used one so I can't give a first hand reccomendation but many of my friends have and I've heard good things
I've used wacom bamboo and intuos, they're rad but expensive. If you had to go with one, go bamboo (cheap) or monoprice (also cheap)
Other than Photoshop definitely what Shido said works, Paint Tool Sai is very versatile so I've been spoiled by it (if you can, please buy it as it's only $60 USD in comparison to $1000 for Photoshop, support indie art software developers (I own a full license now)
Firealpaca is fantastic freeware and serves like a mixture of photoshop and paint tool sai "dumbed down"
It's Krita, not Kirita btw (I googled and couldnt find it) and it's fantastic from what I know
but idk I'm downloading it right now to try it so i'll let you know later. -
FIREALPACA PLEASE GET FIREALPACA and idk what you're running on your comp but adobe put up cs2 for free so you could get that
Also try the GIMP if you can stand it not having pen pressure
I have a Wacom bamboo capture and it's great 10/10 would recommend but if you have a big computer you might want a larger one
But yeah for $100 it's a good tool
