Ask me whatever you want~

Hi. =)
I just wanted to ask your opinion. For our computer class, Our teacher said she would teach us either Photoshop or Flash 8 (The one for making animations.) Which one do you think is better for drawing cartoons and anime stuff? -
Yoho, shooting me a hard one eh?
Alright, well I can't speak from personal experience when it comes to Flash but Photoshop seems to have more tools to utilize when it comes to drawing and painting whatever it is that you need because it offers a smooth interface with many different options. It's mainly for drawing or actually shooping photos.
Flash (did my research) is typically for vector art types of work and doesn't offer you the type of tools you might need for certain things (like softer shading styles).
Although it really depends on what you're going for, and skill level. Your skill determines what you make for the most part, not the program.
For flash, you can make things like this
and with photoshop, you have options to make softer strokes to create more realistic things like this and
Either way it depends on what kind of look you're going for.
I myself prefer to use Paint Tool Sai while coupled with photoshop.
Actually, the Ib picture I sent you (second link in photoshop) was made in Paint tool Sai but you can get similar results in photoshop. It's the most chosen program to draw anime in aside from Photoshop CS.
I may be biased towards photoshop, but *shrug*.
Oh, and by the way, anything you learn in photoshop most likely can be used in Paint tool SAI. I would know this because I'm taking a photoshop course. xD -
Oh my, THANK YOU! YOU'RE SO HELPFUL DYHJOTPLBVDSSB *HUGGG*
Yeah I was also thinking more about Photoshop~
