For spoopy month I recommend soul eater, it's a brilliant supernatural action anime. The synopsis is: This anime series is set at Death Weapon Meister Academy, a training facility for weapon-wielding humans known as meisters, in Death City, Nev. The school's goal is to keep peace in order to prevent the rebirth of the Kishin, an evil god that has previously sent the world into chaos. Each meister at the DWMA is paired with a companion that has both a weapon and human form. Among the meisters is dedicated student Maka Albarn, who is obsessed with achieving a meister's ultimate goal -- turning her weapon partner, Soul Eater, into a death scythe.
