I'm in a current events class and we've been covering a lot of the governor's race (in Maine). What I think is cool is that Eliot Cutler, and independent candidate has about 20% of the votes. I still need to find out more on his policies though. LePage is a good candidate but it bothers me that he's against gay marriage.

tongue NewbieTwo words: Carl Paladino.
-
Is he someone you're thinking of voting for?
-
Koolaidria NewbieHe says the n word, derstroys any chance he may have had, then said he's just reading what they give him! Dude!

The only interesting race in my State is for Governor. The Republican candidate is Congressman Nathan Deal, The Democratic candidate is former Governor Roy Barnes, and the Libertarian candidate is John Monds. If I was old enough to vote I would vote for the Libertarian because I despise both the major party candidates. Nathan Deal is one of the most corrupt Republicans in Congress and has been named by an independent study as one of the 15 most corrupt Congressman. Last year he only paid 2% in income taxes which just strikes me as a little wierd, and he didn't "know" that he was over 2 mil in debt. The only reason this scumbag is running is because right before he resigned to run there was probably going to be an investigation on him. He doesn't give a damn about Georgia! As Governor all he would do is give pork to his buddies and settle deals. I guess that's why his last name is "Deal"! Roy Barnes on the other hand was just a poor Governor when he as running this State from 1999 to 2003, and if you want thing to change you can't vote for the guy who already had a crack at being Governor. To me John Monds is the only candidate I thing is any good. Unfortunatley polls show him on average only garnering about 6%, but hey, I would rather vote (which I can't do because I'm only 17), for a guy who doesn't have much chance of winning then vote for someone I hate.

Koolaidria NewbieI hope paladino dies. In a fire.
-
That's kinda hateful don't you think?
-
tongue NewbieWell yes, it is hateful, but the world would probably be improved in Paladino's absence. I'll settle for him going away in 4 days when he loses.
-
Then Paladino needs to die.
-
i agree lets pull a political killing
-
I voted for tacos over stew! Does that count?
-
tongue NewbiePaladino supporters are a bunch of braindead guidos and gun nuts. You have to be seriously retarded to support a sack of s--- like Paladino.
