  1. I walk up to the door to my house and turn the key. As I do I hear footsteps and whirl around, ready to beat up who ever it is, if necessary. The second I do, I see who it and almost fall over laughing. Sometimes, I'm way too paranoid.
  2. She nearly falls over laughing too. "Seriously, Scar. Do you have to do that every time I walk up behind you? Cause it's getting annoying." I roll my eyes at her. "Rosa! Stop sneaking up on me like that!! I swear you're gonna give me a heart attack one of these days." I yell at her, and she just laughs. I throw a rock at her. "Hey! Bad, half-vampire! No, cookie!" She shouts and hides behind a bush and throws rocks at me.
  3. Yeah, I'm half vampire. I've always known this, and I've always known about the paranormal world. Rosa is a half vampire too, we live together and work for the same place. The VPA, or the Vampire Protection Agency. Regardless of what the name sounds like, its an agency that kills rogue vampires. A.K.A vampires that go around killing people willy-nilly. "You're a half vampire too!!" Shout and throw another rock at her, then walk into the house laughing.
  4. My name is Scarlette Night, weird name I know. I'm 16, nearly 17. I have incredibly long jet black hair, that's almost always up, pale skin, and dark blue eyes with light blue rings in them. I think of myself as pretty plain looking, especially compared to Rosa. Rosa has long, dirty blonde hair, is kind of tan, and has dark green eyes. We're complete opposites on the outside, and sometimes we disagree on things, but we're also best friends. Although a long time ago, we hated each other.
  5. "So, how was your day?" She asks. "Ok, I guess. Want to know the best part?" I ask her. She nods. "Today, I'm supposed to tutor Kent!" We squeal with delight. "You mean, super star quarter back, whom you've had a crush on since forever, Kent Johnson?!?!?!" We squeal again. It was times like these that almost made me feel normal. Almost.
  6. "C'mon!!!" She grabs my arm and drags me upstairs. "What are you going?" I ask, kinda scared. I never knew what she was going to do. "Get into the shower, now. And when you're done, you'll clothes will me laid on the sink counter, change into them and then I'll do your make up." She orders me. Remembering the last time she told me to do something and I didn't, I complied and got into the shower.
  7. As promised, the clothes were right where Rosa said they'd be. A light blue blouse, a jean skirt, and matching wedges. I slip them on and walk out of the bathroom, Rosa's sitting on her bed waiting for me. The second I step out, she's like a shark that smell blood, she attacks me.
  8. Half an hour later. "Rosa! I think its good enough!!! I'm going to be late!!" I half-yell at her. "Fine, but I still think you could use some more eye liner." She crosses her arms. I roll my eyes at her. "Rose, I'm sure it's great. He'll love it." I assure her. "Of course he will! You're beautiful Scar!" She hugs me. "Go get him, tiger." She shouts as I walk out the door. "Meow." I reply. Yep, we're definitely not normal.
  9. I hop on my motorcycle and drive over to the library. I kick out the stand once I get there, grab the key, and walk inside. I look around for Kent and see him in the back of the room. I walk over to him. "Hi, I'm Scarlette Night." I say, but he gives me a confused look. "Your math tutor?" I ask to jog his memory. "Oh, yeah. Um... can we not do this today? Dalia wants to go see a movie today." He explains. "Uh... I guess. I'll give you my number, and you can call and tell me what's a good time for you." I write it down and hand it to him. "Cool. Thanks a lot." He runs off without another word.
  10. I go back home and slam the door shut as I walk in. "Went bad, huh?" Rosa asks. "I don't want to talk about it." I reply, and head for the training room. Maybe cutting things to pieces would make me feel better. "C'mon, you know you want to tell me what happened. Why are you back so early?" She's really concerned. I sigh and say "He was there, but ask if we could postpone, so he could see a movie, with Dalia." I roll my eyes. "That sucks. Dalia's so horrible." She pulls out a picture of Dalia's face. "Target practice?" She suggests. I nod. "Hey! Don't start the party without me!!" I hear someone shout and turn to look.
