Our "When Will I Die" Quiz?

  1. READ FIRST PARAGRAPH!.......... We reached a large dining hall with luxurious decor. I stood in shock at the lavishing comfort and riches. "Welcome, my cub. As you see we are wealthy beyond belief. But do not fret, we do not build this upon the expense of our people. None of them live in poverty, the kingdom itself is wealthy. We see to it that every mouth is fed and has a roof above them. Farther than that is up to them to provide, but as their leaders, we do what is best for them." My mother said this as she walked to my side. She glided across the floor, an elegance I had not ever seen before in her. It was foreign, I did not like it. But, when I looked into her loving eyes, my nerves were set to peace. She wore a light pink ballgown. It had no straps, and the top imitated a corset. Her skirt was in tiers, each tier held in by a deep pink rose. She wore a nice bun, and little make up. Her face looked at me in such a gentle manor that I could help but feel at ease. Her face held the lines of laughter, worry, pain, and wisdom. Something I knew, but now deepened. Upon her brow sat an elegant crown, nothing flashy, but impressive all the same. She took my hand and chuckled as I wobbled in the heels. "Dear, you may take those off. We are not strict! Johny merely loves shoes and wouldn't bear sending you out without something he liked." She said this gesturing to the man with eyeliner. His hair was died a crimson red, at the roots you could tell his hair was black because the red faded into this color. He obviously meant for this. His eyes were a deep green and he grinned at my mother. "He is a dear friend, and quite gay." She winked at him. Johny shrugged with a grin on his face and left us alone with Bo and my father. I sighed with relief and took off the heels. Bo nickered with approval. I walked with much more balance, and I felt instantly more comfortable, even though the dress still was foreign to me. "Come sit ladies." My father said. We walked over and sat by his sides. We ate a wonderful dinner in silence. Each of us content with just watching each other, taking in a sight we only dreamed of previously. When finished my mother began, "You may do whatever, and wear whatever pleases you while here. You are only wearing a dress because Johny was so excited to dress up his best friend's daughter." She winked at me again. I smiled at her amused. "I am quite fond of your friend, Bo, and he may do and go wherever pleases him as well." Bo pricked his ears in appreciation. "You are my daughter, and therefore, you may have whatever you want." She looked at me with tears welling up in her eyes. I reached across the table and took her hand. I was still astonished that she was real, and that this was no dream.
  2. "You and Bo will be showed to a room where you may stay together. John will bring you." My father said. I nodded. "We do not wish to overwhelm you, quite yet. So this is all for one evening. I do hope you find your room acceptable." He finished. I grinned and stood. We said our good nights and Johny entered the doorway again. I followed him from the dining room and through many hallways. "I can't tell you how much I am excited to have finally met you. Your mother has always talked of you, longing for your return." Johny began, his voice I now recognized to be very very gay. I smiled, amused, "I'm just thrilled she still lives, I've believed all this time that she was dead." He sucked air through his teeth, "Absolutely terrible. Dang, I don't know why men are such rude creatures, hurting people here and there! I don't even know why I like them! Sometimes, I really do wish I was straight, only because guys suuuck!" I giggled. We reached a doorway of oak. "Well here we are! Sweet dreams hun." He said kissing my cheek. I watched him then leave around a corner. I looked at Bo and saw the signs of amusement sparkling in his eyes. I smiled, shaking my head. When I opened the door, I found a room made for me! It was open, very little furniture. Forests were painted on the wall with such detail I could have sworn the trees were real. A large window took up all of the opposite wall, showing me the stars that were sprinkled in the sky. There was luxury, but not enough to make me feel uncomfortable. The bed was built into the floor, allowing me to lie besides my Bo. A water trough and treats lay to one side for him, of which he instantly trotted over to excitedly. I laughed, and walked in, the carpet felt juuust like grass. The closet was large and held every article of clothing I could imagine, but it was fairly well hidden so I wouldn't think of it. The bathroom was small, but imitated nature as well. The bathtub looked like a small spring, the shower a gentle waterfall. The floor and walls of grey stones. The sink was a small stream, and the only thing unlike nature was the toilet. This was hidden by draping vines with violet flowers. All Id have to do was push them aside. I smiled. My mother knew had to ensure my comfort. She lived as I do once, and going from that to a castle must have been even more foreign to her than I feel. I undressed, putting my dress down a marked shoot in the closet. I searched the closet and finally came across clothing just like what I wear normally. I put this on and sat on the bed. I watched Bo until he came to lie at my side. There, we drifted to sleep.
  3. I woke to the song of a cardinal. My eyes drifted open, I watched the red bird flying about my room, feeding of of plants that were growing from the ground. I watched it for a while, comforted by it's simplicity. When it flew from the window I rose and stretched. Bo woke from my movement. He jumped to his feet, and yawned. I laughed, it was always a ridiculous thing watching him yawn. I inspected my room in the light. Now that I could see clearly I knew that the carpet was actual grass. And plants that bloomed around me grew from the dirt in which the grass grew. I kneeled and dug up a patch of grass in the corner. I inspected the dirt that lay there. It was deep brown and moist, from the earth that the forest around the canyon grew on. I watched Bo graze in a longer patch of grass, happy to feel like I was still outside. I walked into the bathroom and sat in the spring for a while. Letting my skin soak till it wrinkled. I hadn't sat in water naked for a long time, too nervous that I would be found that way I barely ever did it. However, this was relaxing and I cherished the feeling. I watched with interest as koi swam peacefully in the reeds below. I rose and dried myself off. I walked into my closet and chose to were black pants that hugged my every curve and stretched with every movement. For my shirt I chose a shirt that looked similar to what my mom would hold dear when we traveled together. She called it a T-Shirt. Something my great great great aunt brought with her from Earth. I remembered how it was a worn out blue, and you could make out the words 'Vegas' on it. We didn't know much about the city, just that it was where many people lost and gained riches. And that a man named Ceaser lived in a palace there. She would sit at night investigating every inch of it when she could not sleep. However, this shirt was a plain white. I liked it. I felt free inside it, comfortable, almost naked. Compared to my usual wear that is. I walked out and felt uncomfortable for a minute. I realized that the shirt let 'the girls' bounce about freely. I never made it to the age where my mother would have passed down what she called a 'bra'. I always just wore my tight shirt. I walked back into the closet and found what looked like what my mother used to show me. It was skin colored, and very comfortable. Pleased, I left the room again. This time, fully at ease, I summoned Bo to follow me, and we left the room. Side by side we walked the halls. Most of which were red, paintings of scenery from Earth on the walls. I smiled. My mom was always an Earth fanatic. We barely passed by people, but when we did, they looked at us in awe and curiosity. Eventually I grew tired of walking and hoped onto Bo. Bored, I lied back, my head resting on his rump. I watched the ceiling pass over me, and felt the funny movements of Bo. He went where he pleased and I didn't mind. Eventually he stopped and I picked myself up. He brought me to the throne room. His head was turned slightly back to me, his eye looking at me expectantly. "What?" I asked him. He threw his head at the door and looked back at me. I raised my eyebrows, "What if I don't want to yet?" He snorted. I was about to turn him around when he squealed and fell to the floor. I grunted and flew from his back before he hit the floor. "You @ss!" I said. I then tackled his neck playfully and we rolled for a minute, both trying to gain the upper hand. I finally did so by landing a seat on his head. "Ha!" I said triumphantly. Behind us somebody chuckled. I turned my head slowly and saw the same three men again, Timmy before them. Each of them had a look of amusement. I realized that the blonde was who chuckled. Bo took this opportunity and nipped my butt. I squealed and jumped off. He jumped to his feet and then bucked in final triumph. I growled at him, my eyes narrowed. I then stood and entered the throne room to avoid further embarrassment.
  4. My parents were in deep conversation when I entered. "Ash!" My mother exclaimed, pleased to see me. "I'm ready to talk." I said. My parents looked at each other and nodded their heads. "Take a seat." My father said. I did this. "Now. After I was captured, I was subject to a lot of pain to their king. This man raped me often. However, a beacon of hope came when I grew a bit close to his son. The boy's name was Donovan. He was just like his father, but felt bad for me. He didn't feel as if I should be treated that way. In fact. He often tried to ease my pain, always listening to what I had to say. I trusted the boy. He was young, but acted far beyond his years. After about a year. His father sought out a tutor for Donny. When he found one, he brought him your father. When we realized who each other were, we instantly felt in love again. However, it pained your father to see me treated as such. Often begging me to act less strong. Give in. It might ease his interest. However, I refused. Donny found out was going on between me and his tutor. He learned that I had a daughter, and confronted us. He did not tell his father, but felt insulted that I had not told him. I feel as if he may have been interested in me as his father. But knew it wasn't his place. Eventually, he began to help us plan an escape. And, we did. His father was furious from what I hear. I heard he beat Donny often after that. But your father brought me here, and we built this kingdom together. We gained followers that were men and found women to save. Now, we are wealthy and stable. A kingdom no one tries to confront." She finished. I sat for a minute thinking that over. 'Donovan... that must be the current king, the king who tried to take me.'
  5. After a moment of silence my father began to talk. "Since then we've searched for you. Hoping one day we'd see your face again. To see you sit here healthy is such a blessing to us. But now that we've given you the summary of us... we have only one question for you. How did you and Bo become friends?" I looked at Bo and ruffled his forelock. He placed his head on my lap, and I began my own story, "Well, I was surviving alone, learning through mistakes and successes how to live without you. However, it was hard. I eventually came to these plains, vast plains with mountains in the distance. I watched with admiration as a herd of fjords thundered past me. But, little did they know, a predator was following them. I still do not know it's name. It was as large as a tiger, and blended into the green grass. Something like a predatory lizard with long powerful legs. Well, it attacked the herd and scattered it. I watched in horror as it made it's kill, a female. I noticed after the herd had run off, and the kill taken away, a colt sat whinnying desperately. I then knew that it was now an orphan. I approached, not able to bear the thought of leaving it to die. He was frightened of me for a long time. But I continuously fed it and fended of predators. He eventually learned to trust me. In the beginning I called him Boo, for he was so skidish. But as he grew in size and confidence, and our friendship strengthened, I learned his true personality to be more playful. I felt Bo was more fitting. So he became Bo. We slowly became a dangerous team, working together for survival. And now, here we are, sitting before you as if we were born side by side." Bo lifted his head and nuzzled into my loose hair, seeking comfort. He hated hearing of how he lost his mom. I groomed his mane, giving him the comfort he needed. My mother and father nodded, acknowledging what they just heard.
  6. "We are sorry to hear that, but we are honored to be with you now and grateful for helping our daughter." My mother said to Bo. She rose and sat by his side. She smoothed out his fur, and scratched his neck. He nickered in pleasure and appreciation. I then recognized that no matter what happens, Bo will love my mother just as I do. My father came and sat besides her, now all of us on the floor. "Now. We must talk about current affairs." My father said, my mother sighing in agreement. "We know you'd never be happy just being here, acting as a princess. Therefore, we have an offer for you. Now that our own home stands strong, we hope to influence other kingdoms into treating women like we do. With respect and honor. We wish to also bring them into an alliance to insure peace, for we do not wish for the wars they sometimes wage. We only want peace. However, the two of us cannot pull this off ourselves. We therefore have chosen a small team to do this for us. We would like you to be a part of that team. You will not be safe, like we would hope, but you would be traveling far and wide. Something you'd do anyways. We do not want to hold you down or take your freedom. Your free to leave and refuse this offer if you so wish. However, we hope that this mission will give you enough adventure and freedom so that you will be content. You do not have to answer now, in fact, we do not want that. We want you to sleep on it. Then we'd be pleased to hear your decision. All we ask is that you consider it. For all we want is your happiness and safety. We feel as if this is the best path to travel. But again, it is your choice. Not ours." My father finished. I thought about it a minute. But I didn't yet lean to either decision. We then rose, and then did a kind of group hug thing. Then, I left with Bo at my side. I hardly noticed the men watching me go.
  7. We walked together for a long time. We found ourselves outside the kingdom. In the canyon. I mounted Bo, and without a word, he knew what I wanted. He jolted forward into a full out dash. I immersed myself in the adrenaline, the wind in my hair, our synchronized heartbeat. We ran until neither of us could run any longer. Bo stopped and fell to the floor. His sides heaving in effort, but his eyes held nothing but peace. I dove into the river and swam for a while, allowing the cold water to rejuvenate my muscles. When I came back to the shore to lay in the sun besides Bo, a man stood there. He was an old man. His hair silvery white, his eyes piercing blue. He was wearing grey robes, and looked at me with a calm wisdom. "Hello young girl." He told me. I nodded my head in response, curiously watching him. "I hear, your the new princess." "I am." "May I have your assistance?" He held out his hand and I took it. I helped him sit on a small ledge besides Bo. "Young girl. You are strong, intelligent, beautiful, and astonishingly wise. Yet, you are a free spirit. But neither your head nor your instincts should choose your path. Listen to that heart that beats within you. Let it lead you to what is truly right for you. Breathe in the air around you, feel the earth beneath you. You then will know." I watched him with respect. Knowing he's seen many years beyond the norm. I closed my eyes and did as he said, feeling the push and pull of the the air, the movements of the earth, and the pulse of my heart. And I listened. My eyes opened and I thanked the wise old man. I helped him rise and watched him walk away, to a place I did not know. I looked at Bo, I knew what I wanted.
  8. I rode back to the castle with haste. Once there I asked somebody to find Johny and send him to my room. They ran off to find him and I ran to my room. There Bo rested while I chose a dress to wear. I wouldn't sleep on it. I knew exactly what I wanted. And even though I hate the dresses, I wanted to respect the fact that I was royalty. I would tell them over dinner. Johny came in and looked at me with surprise. "What in the world is so urgent hun?" He asked. I chuckled, "I just wanted to look nice for tonight. But no shoes!" He groaned and looked at the dress I chose. I put it on and in the end I looked great! My dress was...
  9. Johny then looked at me with satisfaction. "One last touch he said." I looked at him puzzled, and from his bag he took out a beautiful diamond tiara. He placed it on my head and I finally looked like royalty. I strode out of my room with Bo following me. I was ready to give my decision.
