The rain lashed down like small pellets coming from the sky, the thunder crashed around in the dark, menacing clouds that loomed over everything. The two cats prowled through the forest, their shadows illuminated by the lightning that flashed brightly in the sky. One of the cats was a pale ginger tom, who had a ragged torn ear from when there had been a battle between the Clans, he had been attacked by one of the enemy cats. The other cat, who was much more well groomed than the first cat, was a sleek black and white she-cat. She looked as if she was a kittypet, a cat who was looked after and given a home by it's Twoleg owners. But she was actually a forest cat, she had been no where near Twolegs. The two cats headed for a small cave that was shielded by a clump of bracken. The she-cat seemed to move faster than the tom, maybe she was younger than him, or maybe she was just agile. She led the way up until both of them reached the cave entrance. It was one big gaping hole, that looked as it would happily swallow any cat who dared enter the dark cave.
