They strapped her down to the table, and gave her a sedative. Once she was under, they began. When they were finished with that day's experimenting, they moved her to a more comfortable bed.
Feel free to control anybody with authority. Scientists, guards, etc. etc. -
Okay. :3
She fell into sleep, dreaming of her family and home. They were all worried, some angry, searching for her. She started to wake up slowly, feeling a little bit of soreness.
A nurse walked in to check on her. "Hello, Miss. How are you doing?" She didn't seem robotic or scary like others were. "Y-yeah...can I have some water?" Helena asked with a shaky voice.
"Of course, dear. Just one moment." The nurse left the room and Helena stretched a bit, looking around. It looked more like a hospital room now. She hoped things wouldn't be so bad. -
The scientists sat around, bored. There'd been a slow flow of emperiments lately. Most likely the population was becomming aware of the missing people. They stared at the wall, the ceiling, the floor, and any other part of the room.
-
"Here you go, Miss." The nurse came back in with a bottle of water and a paper cup. She smiled and poured some for the girl. "Thanks." Helena drank it, thirstily. "Is there anything else you need?" The nurse asked. "Not really... can I get up?" Helena asked. "I'm not sure if that's a good idea, since all the work and everything. Maybe you should rest. By the way, I'm Sally." "Helena." The girl waved weakly.
-
They stayed that way until the next day, when the experiments were scedualed for yet another day of operations. The scientists got to work tidying up the lab, making sure all equipment was ready for work.
-
Helena had fallen back to sleep, still in slumber as everyone was getting ready to work.
-
They then stood by their operating tables, and sent for the nurses to bring in the experiments.
-
Sally wheeled in Helena, getting her ready for the next operation.
-
The scientists nodded their appreciation, and lifted Helena onto the table. Just as the day before, they gave her a sedative and began the operation. Once it was over, the nurses were called back in to take the exmperiments to their room. A small bottle with a foul looking concoction, to be drunk once she awoke.
If drinken everyday, she would only need to go in for fifteen operations instead of thirty-six. However, it had nasty side-effects. -
Sally knew about this liquid, and felt bad whenever she had to administer it to the patients. Helena woke up again, and the nurse walked back to her bedside. "Morning, dear. You need to drink this." She held it up to her lips. The girl was just waking up, so the alarm didn't hit her until the medicine flowed into her mouth. "Swallow." Sally warned and Helena managed to do that.
"Oh my god, that was disgusting!" She coughed. "Like rotten eggs or milk!"
"I'm sorry, Helena. But it's... it'll be good for you." She bit her lip a bit. -
Today the scientists were not to be found in the lab. Instead, they were in a quite different room on the other side of the facility. A tall man of almost six feet talked to them, his voice deep and slow. The scientists listened carefully, nodding now and then at what he said.
-
After gobbling quite a bit of water, trying to remove the foul taste, Helena looked around boredly. "I hate just laying here. I want to get up and move!" "Please be patient, hun. I'm not allowed to let you get up without orders saying so." Sally tried calming the young girl.
-
Oh, hey there :D
They were all eventually dismissed, except for one unlucky scientist. "You are taking your sweet time, Jacob. I want results and I want them now." the man boomed. "We are working fast as we can, sir, but the experiments take time. They can only handle so much." "I don't care. If they cannot handle your little science projects then they are not fit to be a part of my army." -
Hi! :D How's it going, dear?
"Can you ask them to allow me to get up?" She pleaded. "I'm sorry, Helena, but it is wrong for me to overstep my boundaries." She explained helplessly. -
Pretty good, I'm acually looking foreward to going to school tomarrow. You?
"Get all your experiments now ready to fight in two months time, if not-" he made a slicing motion with his finger over his neck. The scientist nodded, understanding perfectly the consequences for failing. He hurried back to the lab, and waited for morning to come.
