Sypher slipped away from the chaos, diving into a cabin to keep from being discovered. He looked around, holding his gun at aiming position. No one was in the room, they had all left.
Oh honhon, Sypher gets to read the dirt. -
Ah, I see.....acually I don't see. Havn't got any brothers......
She turned on the nearby radio, listening to news of the war from all over the world. With any luck she'd be out there someday, fighting for her country. And if it happened to be a particularly lucky day, perhaps even alongside her brother. It was very unlikely, though. Most companies were made up of only one gender, to rid of any unwanted sexual activity. "Idiotic, if you ask me." she said to no one in particular, "So many reasons why it wouldn't work." -
Alden heard a loud shout from outside. "Ello? Fag, you in there?" He could feel their twisted grins and laughing eyes without giving them a glance. He remained silent, staring at the paper still left on the ground. It was from his sister. He fished out a paper and pen and scrawled out a quick response.
Hello from camp Things are pretty rough. The outlook isn't as great as I had hoped for. I hope all is well for you. Sending my love.
~ Alden
"FAG! Come out, come out wherever you are..."
Alden remained in his spot, his tent flap firmly closed.
"You pervert. We saw the way you were looking at Joey the other night," they nagged bitterly.
Alden couldn't help but shake his head. They were sadly mistaken, for he had already given his heart to Charlie. The men here could never compare to lovely, handsome, charming Charlie... Never in a million years. -
Charlie and his company held back the intruders, finally reclaiming the base. They would now have to patrol and search the neighborhoods for wounded.
There was a little girl, maybe six, with a bunny stuff doll in her arms. She sniffled, tears rolling down her face as she watched the strange young soldier men make their way through the area. She ran up to Charlie helplessly. "Please sir, I can't find my mommy or daddy! Please help." He tried to calm her down a bit, sadness from seeing such a grim situation eating at him. "Where's your house, sweetheart?" She sniffled and pointed. "Right there." He nodded, leading her along. "Don't stray, it's too dangerous to be on your own." "O-okay."
He went to the house, carefully opening the door. "Just wait here, kay?" He said with a weak, trying to be assuring smile. He walked forward into what was your normal household, searching. He went upstairs, finding no one around. Finally, when he reached the basement, he found the parents. Except, they were dead, in cold blood on the floor. All their food storage and resources were stolen. He shook his head, and once he could bring himself to walk he went back up to report to his company.
"So mister, did you find my parents?" The little girl asked, worriedly but not crying anymore. -
D': I can see the scene in my head, the little girl's eyes being so wide and hopeful and Charlie not able to find the right words ;~;
The radio went on to report a very recent attack on America, and remembered her brother saying something about a very very close friend in America's armed forces. She hoped for the best, and turned her attention to happier thoughts. -
Sypher rummaged through some documents... letters. Germans can sell out the Brits to the allies.
He sat, reading through them. They weren't official. They were two gay lovers. "Damn.. ze day just keeps getting better Und better.... Zis is ridiculous! Und I shall put un end to it!" He whispered.
Bweh. Yay for having to play fascist racsist homophobic xenophobe Germans. .3. -
The taunting was interrupted by a loud bark of orders. "We're under attack! Grab your weapons and fire at will!" There had been no warning signs of this attack...
Alden quickly snatched up his gun and rushed out of his tent. He could hear gunfire and grenades going off on the hill just to the south of them. He set off towards the scene, racing as fast as his legs could carry him. He'd have to update that letter later...
Bullets grazed past him, blowing his hair in the process. Alden hated fighting and killing. He aimed carefully at one of the imposing soldiers and shot; the bullet hitting him right in the chest. He grimaced, watching as the man fell. He looked around 16. He had a family, many loved ones and many years ahead of him... But it had ended in a matter of seconds. The horrors of the situation hit him once he reached the bottom of the hill.
There was at least five hundred of them. There was only three hundred men in his company. -
He got a call in on walkie talkie.
"Breaker 1-9, oncoming French raid on your position."
"10-4."
"Stay tight, lieutenant,"
"Roger that, over and out." -
"Um..." Charlie was just recovering from the sight himself, and having a hard time explaining this to such a young child. She didn't deserve this, didn't deserve to be hurt and scared from such a horrid war. So many didn't deserve this...
"Charlie! We need you to guard the west end! Enemy combatants near!" A leader barked to him, causing him to instinctively run. "Hey, go inside, but go upstairs!" He told the girl. "Stay in your room and stay out of the downstairs area, okay?" "O-okay sir..." She ran inside to seek shelter. Charlie hoped she wouldn't go anywhere near the basement. She seemed to be ready to follow what he said though.
He watched as shots rant out again, one nearly missing him. He duck down, shooting toward the invaders. A bullet hit his chest but luckily was caught and stopped into his body armor. It scared him badly though, until he realized he wasn't injured. This was true madness. -

"Great time not to have an assault rifle... but I think," Sypher slid his gun under a cot, finishing the few letters. He pulled out a Flammenwerfer, so much easier than guns.
He darted out the cabin, headed towards the battle field. He'd break French troops and Brits, when he was done. Foward, he charged, keeping an eye out. -
Camilla's happy thoughts were interupted not a moment later, by a warning for almost all of England. A full out attack was being initiated, and the whole of her country was being effected....including her peaceful town.
-
"Who's invading?" Alden yelled over the explosions.
"Two allied forces..." another soldier shouted back between gunshots. "I think Russia and Poland!"
Alden grimaced as he kept firing his bullets, taking down a soldier every other shot. He turned around after hearing a groan, realizing their commander had been shot. He couldn't spare the time right now. He whipped around to face the incoming surge of enemies.
Charlie's out there waiting, fighting, so be can end up with you. Do not give up now. Think about Charles. Think about the future. You have to live to see it.
After taking a deep breath, Alden resumed shooting. It was only until about five minutes had passed that he noticed the quickly intensifying pain in his left arm. He glanced down, noting that his sleeve was soaked with blood.
Blood? It took him a few seconds to register that he had been shot. -
Wait. ._. Is Sypher where Alden is currently?
-
Sypher is in Britain, considering Germany is closest...
