Hale lingered at the window for a few seconds before following her, not bothering to put shoes on. His socks were soaked with dew from the grass as he followed behind Alicia, silent as a mouse.
-
Seeing as it wasn't far, she didn't take the car. If anything it would slow her down. She reached her destination in a matter of minutes, and set up her equipment with lightning speed. Most of it was made from scrap metal and things found around the house, so it didn't look like anything recognizable. The only thing store bought was her camera, currantl hanging around her neck, and her video recorder, tracking the falling object.
-
Hale watched Alicia from behind, lingering twenty or so feet back. It looked like she was tracking the shuttle... Why would it be of any interest to her?
Hale wanted to jump and wave and scream, "I'm here! Take me home," but he wasn't positively certain that the shuttle did in fact contain his people. He clamped his mouth shut and watched with glimmering eyes. -
The huge hunk of metal continued down. The closer it got, the more and more it looked like a space pod. Alicia kept the recorder hooked on it, up until it's contact point with the ground. Smoke billowed all around it, making it near impossible to see anything going on. If she had been able to, she would've seen two nasty looking men-guards from the midieval times almost-climb out with an even nastier man behind them.
Feel free to control whichever you like~ And you're choice whether or not they're what they appear to be. -
Okie dokie.
Hale froze, his vision not obstructed by the smoke. There stood the very man who had banished him here... It took all of his strength to refrain from snarling and murdering him right then and there.
Javok, the taller of the guards, squinted out onto the new planet. "Sire, this is perfect for a new colony," he droned in his native tongue. -
Alicia squinted through the smoke, ears straining to listen. She wasn't sure, but she thought she could hear someone talking.
"Yes, yes! Perfect!" replied the shorter. He wasn't the brightest, and mostly repeated whatever his superiors said. He found it safer then trying to form his own sentences. -
"Hmm..." their leader looked around skeptically. "There are too many natives. We would need a much larger army to kill them all."
Javok merely nodded in agreement before replying. "That can be arranged, Lord."
Their leader grinned maliciously. "Excellent," he purred, his deep black eyes gleaming in the dim moonlight. -
As the smoke cleared, she couldn't help but gasp. Even the shorted of the three were taller then she, and she was above average height. She was suddenly very thankful for the two trees she was safely hidden behind. SHe'd hate to get on their bad side.
The shorter, Kola, looked around with a rather large smile on his rather pudgy face. -
Hale quickly receded behind a tall bush, crouching in order to be hidden.
"Find the boy," the elegantly dressed man hissed, "and execute him." -
Alicia thought of Hale, and how he'd just appeared. Had he.....was he realated to this men somehow? She wasn't to keen on finding out. She just kept the recorder rolling and herself out of sight.
"Yes sir." Kola said, heading in a randomly picked direction. -
Javok nodded and walked right towards the bush where Hale was hiding. Hal's held his breath and shut his eyes tightly. The tall man squinted through the leaves, too lazy to lumber all the way around the shrubbery.
"Why the hell are you looking in the bushes, you imbeciles!?" their leader hollered. -
"He could be hiding in there...?" Kola suggested.
-
"You fool!" he barked. "The boy is intelligent. He would not hide so close! Go! Search! Bring him to me, dead or alive."
Javok turned away from the bush and caught Kola by the arm "Let's go, dimwit," he snarled, dragging him along.
Half let out a breath once the three of them had left, the guards one way and the leader the other. -
*Hale

After Alicia couldn't see even a speck of them left, she stepped out from behind her hiding place. She slowly made her way to the pod type thing, the recorder held firmly in her right hand.
