Hale walked down the steps, hearing multiple strange voices. He was a bit confused; surely she'd been alone when he'd arrived? -
Alicia had flipped to the newws station, where, sure enough, they were doing a news flash report on the "strange colorful lights in the sky". She half listened while taking out her camera, opening the window, and taking pictures of said lights in the sky.

Hale walked up behind Alicia. " What's going on?" he asked quietly.

"Just the best thing to ever happen to me!" Alicia said excidedly, as the news people went on to say that a strange shape appeared to be comming out of the lights.

Hale cocked his head. "Is it something to do with the stars?" He couldn't quite see the whole sky, seeing as she was occupying the window.

She shook her head, and stepped aside so he could see. "That just happens to be what I've spent almost my entire life researching."

I was writing my post for the other soap.
His eyes widened in shock. No... It couldn't be... A wormhole? Hale was so amazed that he hadn't realized he'd been speaking out loud. -

"So you know about them, then?" Alicia asked, shocked. She'd never really known anyone that did. Well, besides her dad of course. Then there was her pal in Ireland, but she hadn't seen him sense she was real little. -
xD The letter failed. I typed a lot more than that.... Or I thought I did. I dunno. My iPod's been glitchy lately... And I'm too lazy to go back and fix it. :P
Hale looked up, shocked at the sudden break in the silence. "Hm?" -
Oh well, it sounded good :D
She smiled, and went back to taking pictures. "Nevermind...." Silence went on again for a couple of minutes, then she gasped. "Wha-what is that?!" There was an odd looking hunk of metal speeding away from the hole. The news, which had been showing the lead field reporter on the scene suddenly went black, as if something had caused the camera to shut off. Or worse........ -

Hale's eyes zeroed in on the shuttle emerging from the black hole. His eyes went wide, as if they might pop out of his head at any moment. It was them... They had come for him... Or so he thought, anyway. -
Alicia zoomed up the staires without any warning. She quickly packed her bag with some of her lighter equipment, and raced back down. She took a minute to catch her breath, then slipped on a pair of shoes.

"Where are you going?" Hale asked without turning away from the window.

"To get a closer look, of course. This is a once in a life time oportunity. If I miss this, the next time this ever happens might be when I'm stuck in a nursing home for the rest of my life." she replied, bursting out the door.
