Lightning surged around the advancing ship, the high velocity creating a colassal storm high in the planet's atmosphere. Inside the ship, Hale was unconscious, still under the effects of a type of 'spell' the king of Ruath had given him. The ship made impact, the blow jostling the alien boy awake.

If Alicia had kept her eyes on the sky and not turned back to the resturaunt, she would have noticed a peculiar object fall only a mile or two out of town. She opened the door, the soft jungle of bells like a warm welcome. She made her way to the kitchen, grabbing an apron from one of the many hooks.
-
The door slowly opened as the shuttle smoked. Bale blinked groggily, trying to recall what had happened. He stepped out onto the unfamiliar soil, his legs close to giving way. He glanced around, taking in the strange world around him.

"Better put on your speedy shoes, lunch is about to start." the head cook smiled. He was a short, skinny man with thick black hair tucked under his towering hat. I smiled back, and grabbed a notebook. Lunch was the busiest time of day, especially on a Saturday. Saturdays were always High School soccer days, and it just so happened a match ended five minutes before.

Still a bit dazed, Hale started to walk towards the center of this area, where he sensed more life. In a few moments he found himself in front of a place where things were consuming various items. He decided to walk in, just to start learning their language and customs. It seemed like he might be stuck here for a long time.
-
Alici dashed from table to table; taking orders, serving food, bringing refills, and doing just about anything the cutomers asked. She was feeling a little overwhelmed, to state the truth. In all there'd been a dozen waiters and waitreses, but as time went on they all went on to do their own thing. Now, only two were left: Alicia, and a clumsy boy who only worked part time.

Hale walked in to the building, reading the Seat Yourself sign. He chose a booth in the far corner and read over the menu. It was almost as if this new language was already embedded into his mind. He glanced up as a girl walked over.
-
"Hi, you ready to order?" she asked, wiping sweat from her forehead. She wasn't the prettiest faces, least of all when she was working.
Sorry, mom's been rearanging furnature and my dad and I have been doing the heavy lifting. -
Your mom rearranged furniture at midnight? Wow, she must be determined.
He nodded. "I'll just have a... coffee..." He offered her a smile, an expression he'd seen on many of their faces that represented kindness. -
9:40 where I am xD But yeah
"Right away." she smiled back, taking his menu and heading back to the kitchen. She couldn't help noticing something seemed.....off about him. Probably passing through, wonder to where. she thought, bringing back his order almost immediatly. -
He watched as she placed a steaming container in front of him. He formed the words that he'd heard others say before. "...Thank you."
-
Okie doks :D Your turn
-
Wow, what a fail
"No problem." She walked off to another table, to clean up a spilt drink.
