Alicia couldn't help but let out a slight giggle. "No, everything we eat is either grown or made by other animals. Like these eggs come from chickens."
-
"So you steal it from them? That's unfortunate..." He frowned. They had always been tought not to steal on Halla... This new world was extremely odd.

*taught

"Well what else would they do with them? We only take the eggs they don't need." she said, grabbing a couple plates from the pantry. "Same goes with milk. Cows and goats and such don't need it unless they have to feed their young."
-
I found it, if you wanna.
-
:3 Yes.
"Oh..." He eyed the egg. "How do you know they don't need them? Do the animals communicate with you?" His eyes were bright with curiosity and innocence. -
"No, though it would make the world a much better place." She finished cooking the eggs, set them on the plates, and brought them over to the table. "I guess the eggs are like a women's womb, almost. Chickens lay the eggs, and farmersuse sme sort of device to tell if it'll produce a baby chick or not. If yes, the chickens keep them and are able to raise they're young. If not, we eat them."
-
He cringed at her last sentence. She said it to casually. "How do you know if the devices work properly? Are there any flaws in the reading?" He stared at the plate on the table, imagining a small animal that could have been peeping and chirping in their place.
-
She sighed, feeling a bit guilty now. "I suppose there has to have been...." Alicia felt her appetite slowly leaving her, a wave of nausea taking its place.
-
He blinked at the plate of food, feeling his stomach tremor with hunger. "But they would know before...?" he didn't dare finish the sentence. The thought of a walk life being killed and cooked was unbearable.
-
"You know what, let's just have some bread instead." Alicia said, walking over to the pantry and retrieving the crunchy goodness.
-
Brb, lunch.
-
Okie doks
-
I'm back. :3
"Okay. I like bread," he murmured, still staring at the eggs on the plate. He hated to have her waste food... Wasting resources was also frowned upon on Halla. Apparently they had enough and then some here on Earth. -
Sorry, got distracted
She also grabbed a butter knife and the butter. She took the bread out of the bag, sliced it, and gave Hale a couple slices.
