"Well sure. Throw on some of my dad's old clothes, maybe even get a job, and you'll look like any of the other High School graduates roaming around." Once all her things were neatly packed, she led the way back.

"Okay. Seems easy enough." He followed her back to the house.

"Yep, I might even know a place that's hiring." Unfortunatly, Alicia had left something very important behind. Something that was so obviously her's, anybody in town could identify it. Her recorder, laying on the cushy insides of the pod thing.

"What kind of place?" he asked. Hale wasn't sure if he had the skill or expertise to carry out the actions necessary to seem human. It seemed very complex and difficult. But with an actual human on his side, he assumed all would be well.

Oh hey, I was about to go look for this :D
"It's a small bookshop on the edge of town. The people that go there aren't the gossip type, so you've got nothing to worry about when it comes to chatter boxes. The owner's also a close friend of mine and very trustworthy. He'll be able to help out with your blending in." When they arrived, the street lamp was casting an eerie light over the row of houses. The shadows long and dark, an easy hiding place for muggers and the like. Alicia normally kept in her house at times like these. -

"Okay. Thank you." Hale glanced around the area. It was a bit suspicious, what with the dark shadows... -
"Creepy, huh?" she commented, shivering. "I wouldn't worry to much. Trouble rarely comes around here." The way she worded it almost seemed like she was reasuring herself more then Hale.

Hale looked around once more. "Just the lighting."

She nodded. Finally they reached the safety and comfort of Alicia's house. She opened the door, let Hale go in first, and went upstaires to set her pack in her room. "You want anything to eat?"

Hale shrugged. "What kinds of things do you eat here?"

She made her way into the kitchen and opened up the fridge, freezer, and pantry. "Well, let's see. I have some eggs, milk, yogurt, a bag of baby carrots and celery, chicken, turkey, beef paties, some french bread, and I think I've got a couple cans of clam chowder."

Hale cocked his head to the side. "What?" On his home planet, they hadn't eaten food like these... separate substances. Each day they'd take a pill that contained all of the nutrients and vitamins needed to stay alive and well.

"Right." she said, and sighed. "Let's start with eggs, easy enough." Alicia took her last four eggs, a pan, and some butter. She then began prepare them sunny side up.

"Where does all of this come from? Does it just materialize here?" he asked, his expression serious and curious.
