He frowned. "But they said it'd also work on demons..."

"Then they obviously lied."

He blinked, looking at her as if he'd come to his senses. This was all insane! They were obviously lying to him. Or perhaps he was going crazy! "Wait a minute... how do I know you aren't lying. Prove it. Prove you're an angel."

I sighed. "Fine, but I lost my wings, due to the fallen part. All I have left is some bone, why the hell do you think I freaked out when you touched my back?!?" I turned around, lifting up my shirt just enough so he could see my wing bones.

Oh. It made more sense now. He looked at the bones sticking out of her back.

I pulled my shirt back down and turned to face him. "Satisfied now?" I asked.

He nodded, slightly amazed.
Outside the house, the three demons crouched underneath a window. The boy was a wimp. And starting war with the angels would be harder than expected. They couldn't send a human boy to kill one and blame it on him. -
"Good." I said.

He pulled her into his arms. "Sorry for trying to kill you..." he whispered.

I rested my head on his chest. "I can't blame you, demons are tricky like that..."

He smiled faintly. "Good. I'm not an idiot for trusting them, then."

"You're not an idiot for trusting them..." I pulled away and looked up at him. "You're an idiot because you believed I would actually kill you."

He smiled faintly. "It was pretty stupid of me..."

I grinned. "Ya think?"

His grin widened, answering for him.
