Uh it's to redeem them of their past sins so then they can take accountability and repent and feel the gospel that way and how did we get into this rabbit hole in the music thread-
-
Idk man but that is a f---ing 6 year old (I’ve heard of kids getting baptised as a baby idk if that actually happens tho) what sins have a 6 year old committed
-

Omg Ben Platt's new album has the song Monster in it
I have waited since his last concert here for him to come out with this song
That was almost TWO YEARS AGO
holy f--- -
Also that song is just amazing. It's not quite as comforting as Dark Times, but it's still up there because DAMN DUDE
Also if I remember correctly he either based the song off of himself when he was a kid or one of his friends kids sooooooo -
Ok I love Ben Platts new songs so much but I have one gripe with them
The folk vibe he has with a lot of them. It isn't a problem that they're folk, but in those specific ones I feel like I can hear him using autotune, which he 100% doesn't need
Personal favorite songs on it at the moment (not counting the ones he already had as singles and this isn't ranked) are Shoe Drop, Monsters, Home of the Terrified (jesus I love this song way too much, same with Monsters, I could listen on repeat), Boy Who Hung the Moon, and All American Queen -
Omg Ben Platt wrote Home of the Terrified about one of the shootings
I mean, I thought it was about a hate crime when I first listened to it, but that's also cuz I got pride month on the brain at the moment
Ben Platt explaining the process of writing Home of the Terrified
He's so wholesome in this in a weird way like awwww -
Ok I’m three songs in to the new album and lowkey it slays
