Beautiful Secrets Part 3

PLEASE READ: So last time, I got some comments saying to make a new guy and some suggestions for the quiz series, and I'll take it into consideration because I kind of already have all of this planned out in my head and there's going to be a new guy so maybe you'll like him; his name is Christofer! But later in the quiz I'll eventually put another guy in for a temporary time. Thanks for the comments!

I know everything seems like it's all about Alex, but I swear it's not! I have quite a lot planned for the rest of the guys so don't worry. :D The descriptions of the guys will come when the mystery guy is revealed! Here are the guys so far: Alex Hart, Nick Martinez, Sam Mitchell, and Zac Anderson.

  1. I wiped the water away from my face and shook the water from my romper. "What the hell, Tara?! Just because I was talking to your boyfriend in the line? Are you serious? You ruined my hair and you messed up romper! I LOVE THIS ROMPER." I think her life flashed right before her eyes because she seemed scared. People were already forming a circle around us so she couldn't really run away. I was about to come at her like a squirrel monkey when somebody held me back. I turned to look at who it was and saw that it was Alex. "Let me go!" I ordered. "No, you're going to get suspended. Who knows, you might even kill her." He replied with a cool tone. "She spilled water all over me!" I exclaimed, still trying to break away. "Yeah, and it will dry off. Just drop it. I don't want you getting in trouble." He seemed so sincere about him not wanting me to get in trouble, so I stopped resisting and he let me go. I took a threatening step towards Tara and she took a step back. "stupid bxxch." I murmured.
  2. I cut my way out of the circle with Alex following me. "You should have let me fight her. Just at least one slap." I said to him. He laughed a little and said, "Believe me, I would've loved to see that, but I promised your mom that I'd look out for you and that's a promise I intend to keep. Now let's get you dried off." He went over to get some napkins and started dabbing them on me. It felt awkward, so I just went ahead and did it myself. I was standing there with Alex under the sun when April approached me with a worried expression. "Please don't tell me you killed her..." She said. Alex laughed and I shot him a look. "Alex wouldn't let me, actually. Alex, this is April. April, this is Alex." I said. "Yeah, I know April. We have some classes together." He replied with a smile. "so like, she just randomly spilled water all over you because you were talking to Sam in the line? Gossip goes around here fast." April asked, looking for some clarification. I nodded and asked where Sam was. "Oh he has band for third period so he has 2nd lunch. If he was here though, he would flip out on Tara. I don't understand why they're still together, they fight ALL the time. It's like a Ronnie-Sammi relationship." One of April's friends called her over so she said bye and went immediately.
  3. "Does my hair look bad?" I asked Alex, knowing he'd give an honest answer. "Not really. It's not as curly as before, but it still looks good on you." He replied. "Are you sure?" I asked. "positive." He said with a reassuring smile. At first i thought he was being sarcastic, but the tone in his voice made me think other wise. The sun dried most of my romper, so it didn't look oh so bad. But if Tara decides to do anything else I swear I will poke her eyes out and burn her house down. "Whoa, what happened to you?" Asked Nick as he was passing by, but stopping when he saw me all shriveled up. "There was this girl and she spilled her water all over me." I said, short and bitter sweet. "Oh, I'm sorry. Who was it? I'll talk to her if you want." Nick replied, putting his hand on my shoulder which sent shivers up my spine. "That's sweet of you, but it's okay. And her name's Tara." Nick put his hand back down on his side. "Tara? As in Tara Joplin? I know her! She's my friend Sam's girlfriend. Damn, she's a pain in the neck."
  4. I laughed. "I know, I met her today in the line at break. I think they were fighting over the carnival or something..." I said, hinting the festival. "They're always fighting. I give them about 2 days more. Speaking of the carnival-" "I have you in history class, right?" Alex cut in. I shot him a look and he smiled. "Yeah, I think so. Alex, right? You sit right in front of me." Nick said giving me a glance; then the bell rang. "I'll see you two later. Bye, _____." Nick said. I was about to wave, when he opened his arms and pulled me into a hug. He smelled amazing. My stomach seriously had butterflies in them and I didn't want to ever let him go. Eventually we did and he went off to his next class. I was about to leave when Alex stopped me in my tracks. "No hug for me?" He said, opening his arms. And as inviting as it was, I said no. "Because you KNEW Nick was about to ask me to the carnival but you interrupted him." "He wasn't going to ask you. He was going to mention that he wasn't going because he had 'other plans'." He explained. "How do you know?" I asked curiously. "I read his mind, duh." And then without any precaution, Alex threw his arms around me and gave me a squeeze. "See you later!" He called out from behind him, running to his next class. Gah, he was cute. Why was he running though? Then the late bell rang. Because he didn't want to be late for class. That's why he was running. And now I'm a late. Goodness gracious.
  5. I jogged to my next class which was advanced language arts and collected myself before opening the door. All eyes were on me and I walked to the teacher explaining that I couldn't find the class. One of the perks of being the new kid was being able to have a good reason for being late. "Next time I wont be so easy on you. Now please take a seat." The teacher, Mrs. Everdeen (because I miss the hunger games lol) said. I walked to the back of the class and sat down in an empty seat. There weren't many kids in the class, so it just remained silent. And boring. Mrs. Everdeen kept lecturing us about college and how it was important to prepare now and all of that non sense so I kind of stopped paying attention and started focusing on the clock. The bell finally chimed and I shoved my papers in my bag and left for P.E. First off, I hate P.E. I hate running, I hate sweating, I hate push-ups, I hate sit ups, I hate running, I hate moving my legs in a fast motion, and I hate running. I introduced myself to the P.E teacher, Mr. Mellark (Peeta is so cute! alkjflkjfdfd) and he assigned me to my locker. I got changed as slowly as I could and then realized that April was right behind me. "Oh, I didn't know you had P.E fifth period! Are you a good runner?" She asked. I laughed at this assumption. "Hell no." "Good, now I finally have somebody to walk the mile with. The people in this class think P.E is like the freaking Olympics."
  6. I laughed, locked my locker, and went out to the field with April just to see that she wasn't exaggerating. When we got out to the field, people were already stretching when Mr. Mellark wasn't even there yet. They were running in place, doing push-ups, sit ups, and a couple of kids were even doing some chin ups on the field goal. "Jesus..." I uttered under my breath. "I know." April said with a sigh. "Why are you guys stretching already?" Asked a voice from behind me. His voice sounded familiar and I turned around to see Zac. At first I was excited, but then I remembered Alex telling me he had a girlfriend. But if he had a girlfriend the why did he act that way towards me? "Hey, babe." He said/ At first I thought he was talking to me and I was about to tell him off when I realized he was talking to April. She ran into his arms and they locked lips. "Uh...you guys are dating?" I asked kind of stupidly. "Yeah. Hey, I met you at break today didn't I?" He said with a smile. "Yeah, you did. Remember?" You called me cute. I wanted to say that so April knew, but she looked so happy with him. That seductive, yet not trustworthy guy. Emphasis on seductive. Before he could respond, I heard a whistle blow and we all sat down by Mr. Mellark's feet to hear his announcements. "As you all might know, the SoCal Winter Festival is going on and they're decorating the field and setting things up during this period so we wont be able to run the mile today, unfortunately." I smiled to myself, but on the inside I was all happy and fuzzy.
  7. "So today, we're just going to play soccer!" Mr. Mellark said. I groaned. Soccer involves running. Running = sweat, and I don't like sweating. It makes me feel icky. Not like I had a choice though. The class was split into 4 teams, and I was on the Yellow Team with Zac, unfortunately. I threw on the yellow jersey like thing and met my team in the middle of the field. "Are you good at soccer?" Zac asked me. "No." I said, not really wanting to talk to him. "Then I guess you can be goalie. We're playing the blue team, and by the looks of it they suck, so they probably wont even make it to the goal." I just nodded and made my way to the goal post. It's not that I didn't want to talk to him because I really, really, really did, but he was April's BOYFRIEND. And there's no way I want April to think there's something going on between us even if we're just friends. "Okay kids! First team to 7 wins!" Mr. Mellark yelled followed by a whistle blow. I saw my team charging at the blue team like bulls, so it assured me that I didn't have to do anything but stand there. I was pacing back and forth, humming some tunes to myself when I hear Zac's voice say that I have to kick the ball in. Whatever the hell that means. I looked around and saw Zac jogging towards me with a soccer ball in his hands. "Okay, so you're just going to kick the ball to one of us, alright?" I nodded and set the ball down. Unaware of what I was doing, I went to kick the ball, but tripped on it instead. I tumbled through the air and felt my body knock somebody else's and we soon both hit the ground; me on top of him. On top of Zac.
  8. We were face to face and I could hear him breathing. "Nice view from here, huh?" He said followed by an adorable laugh. I got off into a sitting position while he helped me up. I wiped the grass from my butt and peered around me to see if April saw. Thankfully, she was off on the other side of the field, occupied by the fast moving game around her. "Let's try that again. But this time, don't try falling into me." Zac teased with a smile. "I wasn't trying to." I mumbled under my breath. The ball was in place and I took a running start and kicked the ball to one of the people on my team. Zac got back into the game and when he left, I started blushing like crazy. We won. 7-0. He was right, the blue team didn't even make it to the goal. While the game was going on though, I couldn't help but admire Zac. His quick legs, distinct, sexy, jaw line, his heavy breathing. Perfection.
  9. April met up with me as were talking back to the locker rooms. "my team sucks. We lost, 7-1. How about yours?" She inquired, her face red from the sun. "Um, we won 7-0. I didn't do anything though. I was assigned goalie." I replied, trying not to mention Zac. "Oh that's good. So what's your next period?" "Art, I think. You?" "Lucky. I have Biology next. I don't like Mr. Irvine. He gives me some bad vibes." She said, opening her locker. "Really? Why?" I asked, changing back into my romper. "I don't know...I just feel like he's hiding a big secret or something. Don't you?" She asked kind of dazed. I shook my head no and wondered why she got that vibe from Mr. Irvine. He seemed pretty normal to me. The bell rang and I waved April a goodbye as I went to Art. The first thing that caught my eye was this big calender on the board that was made up of different pictures. So sort of like a collage...made into a calender? There was an 'X' on Monday and then I saw the rest of the class. It was rather odd. It was like being in a Dr. Seuss book. The chairs had wheels on them, the desks were of black mahogany wood, the floor was half tiled, half carpeted, and the walls were splashed with several colors of paint. The whole thing was like a canvas. I approached Mr. Abernathy and he welcomed me with a warm smile and then he assigned me in one of the desks in the back.
  10. There were 2 people to one desk and I turned around to see who I was going to sit by. Alex. I sat down next to him while he smirked, probably knowing that I was going to sit next to him once he saw me walk through the doors of class. "Oh, thanks for the heads up back at lunch. I was late for class." I said, not trying to make eye contact. "I assumed you knew. You know, since were the only 2 people out there." He replied, putting his feet on the wheels of my chair. "Well you assume too much." I responded, moving my chair away from his feet. "I told Sam about Tara." He said. I looked at him and anxiously said, "You did? What did he say??" "Just kidding, I didn't tell him. I don't have any classes with him. I just wanted to see how you would react." Alex said with a grin. "You know what? Just don't talk to me the rest of the period." I told him, looking straight ahead at the board. "Will do." He said. I was kind of disappointed. Yeah, I told him not to talk to me anymore for the rest of the period, but I didn't know he would listen to me.
  11. "As you all might know, today is a modified day so we only have a limited amount of time so we're just going to work on a small project that's due tomorrow. The assignment is easy: draw to your best abilities the person that is sitting next to you. Now if you don't have anybody sitting next to you then just feel free to draw anybody in the class you'd like to draw. Paper is in the front in the bin. Begin!" Mr. Abernathy said with enthusiasm as he went back to his desk and took a bite from his Granny Smith Apple. I sighed and glanced at Alex, whom was already at the front of the class getting paper. He have me one and took his seat without a sound. "Alex? Can I have a look at your face so I can start drawing?" I asked him. The truth is, I already knew what his face looked like, but I just wanted to see his face. He turned to face me and we locked eyes. So imagine he Pacific Ocean frosted with ice. That's how beautiful his eyes were. Icy, hypnotizing, and subtle. His lips looked smooth, and they were the perfect shade of pink. His skin was flawless, and his dark hair added a mysterious look to him. He was truly gorgeous. I felt myself burning up so I dropped my gaze and murmured a 'thanks' under my breath. I caught a small smile from Alex as he started drawing. Okay, so I wasn't the best artist in the whole entire universe, but I was kind of, actually decent. I did a rough sketch of Alex's head, deciding that I would re-do it back at home. I wanted to see how Alex was, but his arm was always blocking my view. The bell rang and I gathered up my stuff and walked out of class with Alex. "Let's go home, roomie." He said with a smile.
