According to semrush, GTQ recieved 1.5M visits in january, the average person spending about 6+ minutes. Idk if its something but please the forums need activity

6+ minutes? I spend like an hour deciding if I should reply to my group role play then spend another thirty minutes actually writing the role play XD

Apparently, the forums used to be alive with almost 2000+ posts per day a few years ago. The decline started during the 2017 period and became inevitable in 2022

There are just around 15 users active within the last 3 months, and the number is predicted to be 8 if the admin doesn't do something

Read the first post. Alot of sites, like SEMRUSH tracks traffic from these sites and uses it to display statistical data which helps competitors know what they're up against.

Also fact: google logs stuff like the sites you interact with, how long you are on these sites (mostly when you're on a gmail account) and uses it to display ads, and helps those sites deliver targeted stuff. You basically have an online profile you aren't aware of. And your entire browsing history is accessable even if you delete them. (just decided to share)

as someone who used this site back in like 2014, it's def declined a lot. the forums used to be super active. the soaping/rp used to be such better quality. not quite sure what really did it in. perhaps the increase of bigger brand sites like tiktok, discord, etc. people were able to use these larger platforms to communicate with people rather than find a silly little site to talk to strangers on.
i don't think it's anything gtq guy has done. i think it's just that the times have changed and niche little sites like this don't get as much attention, or are even really sought after. i still check this place every now and then. nostalgia mostly. i've been using this site for almost a decade really lmao. i just think the times have changed. not really sure what could get this place back going again that wouldn't make it like every other site, which i would hate to see. (ie making it like reddit, tiktok, discord, etc) -
