First, I'm gonna talk about the vibe I usually like for manga and anime. I like the weird s---, the stuff that breaks the norms of the medium, the stuff that makes you think, the stuff that scares you.
I like stories of the supernatural and bizarre, stories of the darkness.
My first recommendation is Yamishibai- a theatre of darkness. This theatre will show you an imitation of kamishibai (paper theatre), this theatre tells only stories of the macabre. Stories of curses, yokai, consequences and the things that stalk the night. -
My second recommendation is one that needs little introduction. Serial Experiments Lain. No matter where you go, everyone's connected.
