Government is an extremely complex machine. While democracy has many advantages, it also possesses many disadvantages, including allowing uninformed citizens the right to govern others.

If you vote, you govern; you make decisions that impact the lives of millions of other people. Are you qualified to govern? As we do not let teachers teach or mechanics work on cars without a bare minimum of knowledge concerning their field of work, so we should not let people govern our nation without a basic understanding of the government.
